The country where I used to work as a VSO volunteer, Guyana, has currently had major flooding of its own. Nowhere near as severe as the tsunami stuff, but its a major buggery to the way of life for 200,000 people. More information on the situation in Guyana, including background.
I suppose questions that might need to be answered straightaway are:
Well, my time in Guyana is now over and after two great years in South America I have now settled back in England. Content wise these pages will be reviewed 'every now and then', but don't expect there to be any major changes. (See my band page to see whats using up most of my spare time!)
However, contact me if you think you have some useful information/updates to go on these pages. The VSO web site is at www.vso.org.uk.
You will need a Java-enabled browser to navigate the site using the applet below. If this
does not work click here for the text menus.
Please note that these pages are not official VSO pages and are not intended to give an official view of life as a VSO. If you do have useful updates then please email me on rishi@rishistar.net.
